The Royal Family; a symbol of power, money, and intelligence. They seemed to well put-together in public, always at the most glamorous socialite events, a daughter who excelled in school and loved her parents dearly, and a mother and father hopelessly in love with each other. That’s what the people thought, that is what they saw.

But, they didn’t know what was really going on that blanket of protection to maintain perfected status. It was all a well-thought out façade to keep it all together for the people. A family that was so functional, yet so clever, charismatic, and brilliant at making war strategies. But that wasn’t it. It was a mess neatly wrapped up with lies.

Ophelia Golden was the one that was considered the most popular socialite in the family, the one who actually enjoyed all the gaudy galas they attended. But she didn’t. She just pretended to, she pretended to be a mature, classy woman in public, never loosing her cool whatsoever even to the point it was disturbing, not showing very much emotion, seeming independent but also a people’s person.

That was just more lies…

It was all part of her way of working things to favor her, so she ended up with all the power and the reputable. She wanted the last laugh, and if she wanted it, she would get it.

Ophelia loved herself dearly and spent countless hours admiring herself in the mirror, sure she was extremely beautiful, but she was obsessed with herself but it, in all honesty, was the closest to true love she would ever come to. She had always been great at working with people’s minds and gaining their trust, but in reality they could be dying on the floor and she wouldn’t move a finger or even take true notice.

Ophelia appeared around non-family members to be someone truly graceful, kind, caring, and really quite put-together, she wasn’t though, she only cared about herself and how she could get more power, it would never be enough for her.

The only major part of her life when she failed to stomp though somebody’s heart metaphorically with her high heels was when she got engaged when she was 17; Ophelia came from the very wealthy family that was the Vangermorgans. They were a family of politicians, scientists, businessmen & businesswomen, and doctors but they weren’t nearly as wealthy as the highly prestigious Royal family; the Goldens, a long line of dictatorship.

It was a forced engagement of two blue-blood rich families. Ophelia and Dion had never been in love or even been particularly found of each other. They pretended to have such a passionate, unbreakable bond in public but in reality it was the opposite. They both distrusted each other but kept going with it, just to please their dead parents; at least that’s what Dion intended to keep on doing.

Ophelia smiled at herself as she tended to her indoor-gardening, carefully examining her toxins, only now realizing what she really wanted to do with them. It turned out that like usual; she would get what she wanted. The last laugh.
Is their behavior in public true? Do Dion and Ophelia really love each other? was it gold-digging? or something else? Find out!
